約20年の修業と勤続期間を経て　

愛知県蒲郡市にてオーダー家具工房　木工時不知(もっこうときしらず)を設立

素材の魅力を引き立て、お客様の要望を大前提に　末永く愛される家具を日々製作

2023年　

地域貢献の気持ちを込めて愛知県形原町伝統である繊維ロープ産業のアップサイクルロープからスツール「KATAHARASTOOL」を企画設計製作。こちらを地域の商業施設やクリニックへ無償貸与するプロジェクトはメディアに多く紹介される

2024年

講演等の場において自身の創作姿勢や想いを広く発信。(東三河懇話会交流会)

日本財団　渚の交番　UMICAN にて漂着ゴミから作られた海洋プラスチックを素材とした創作家具の展示

Concept

The name “Tokishirazu” (meaning “unaware of time”) was chosen with a wish for eternal value. Our pursuit is craftsmanship that transcends the flow of time.

There is a profound beauty in wood that has matured over countless years. We aim to create furniture from this timber that maintains an unfading, timeless value, no matter how many years pass.

Profile & History

• 1975 | Born in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture.
• 2018 | After approximately 20 years of rigorous training and dedication to the craft, established Mokkou Tokishirazu, a custom furniture workshop in Gamagori City, Aichi Prefecture. Committed to enhancing the natural beauty of materials while placing the client’s vision at the forefront, crafting furniture to be cherished for generations.
• 2023 | Driven by a desire to contribute to the local community, designed and produced the “KATAHARA STOOL” using upcycled ropes from the traditional fiber rope industry of Katahara Town, Aichi Prefecture. The project, which involves loaning these stools to local commercial facilities and clinics free of charge, received extensive media coverage.
• 2024 |
  • Widely shared design philosophy and vision through various speaking engagements, including the Higashimikawa Konwakai Exchange Meeting.
  • Exhibited creative furniture crafted from marine plastic waste collected from beaches at UMICAN (The Nippon Foundation’s “Nagisa no Koban” beach station).
• 2025 |
  • The piece “Mizugiwa” (The Water’s Edge) was selected for the 99th Kokuten Exhibition, winning the Crafts Division Encouragement Award.
  • Exhibited at the 99th Kokuten Award-Winning Artists Exhibition.
• 2026 |
  • Crafted the “Mori no Kagu” (Forest Furniture) for the rest facilities at Aichi Kodomo-no-Kuni (Aichi Children’s Land).
  • Achieved simultaneous selection in two categories at the 100th Anniversary Kokuten Exhibition: “Mikan no Tsuki” (The Incomplete Moon) in the Crafts Division, and “100+” in the Sculpture Division.
